An early 20^th century Iraqi silver and niello cigarette case, circa 1930 signed Majeed

of curved rectangular form with a push button release. The front with a nielloed scene of the Abu Hanifa al in Nu'man, Baghdad, a dhow sailing boat and palm trees, cornered with engraved rosettes edged with niello. The obverse with the Taq Kasra (Ruins of Ctesiphon). Signed to the reverse.
